Product Sales Manager, Adam Matthew

We are looking to hire a Platform Sales Manager to join our expanding Quartex team.
This is a newly created position and an exciting time to join us as we look to grow our customer base in the US. Adam Matthew's new Quartex platform is designed to facilitate archives' management and open access publishing of our digital assets.
To be successful in this role it's essential that you are both confident and results-driven, as you'll be helping the company meet and achieve our ambitious targets by creating and converting leads. You will ideally have a background within the EdTech, SaaS sector and previous sales experience.
Job Purpose:
To sell the Quartex platform into North American libraries, archives and museums. Proactively identify sales opportunities and contact prospective customers, manage long-term sales cycle in conjunction with Quartex Product Specialist and negotiate with buyers. Support end-users and Administrative decision makers by conducting product demonstrations. Work closely with Quartex Product Specialist to handle technical questions and demonstrations and move opportunities to close.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
New Business Opportunities
  • Research new and existing markets and identify prospective customers
  • Participate in industry conferences
  • Familiarise yourself with competitor platforms and their use
  • Explore AMD sales and licensing leads, in consultation with other members of the AMD team, to develop a list of priority sales targets
  • Conduct effective cold-call and email campaigns to introduce Quartex
  • Secure new customer accounts and close sales within specified territory
  • Contact new and existing customers to arrange consultative sales visits
  • Provide detailed feedback via Trip Reports that include:
    • Sales discussion recap, opportunities, contacts and follow up items
    • Platform enhancements/improvements
    • Alerts to other parts of the business including, but not limited to, Editorial and peer Library Sales Managers for Adam Matthew Digital Collections

Business Development
  • Travel requirements 50% to Universities and Institutions throughout North America to build relationships with existing clients as well as establishing new relationships
  • Use a variety of sales and presentation techniques such as PowerPoint and live site demonstrations to support library visits
  • Increase turnover and customer base by meeting or exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual targets set by the Associate Director of Sales and the MD
  • Maintain advanced product knowledge and keep informed about current industry trends
  • Conduct regular territory planning, forecasting and effective management of opportunities

After sales/team support
  • Work with Quartex Product Specialist and Sales/Customer Support Assistants to resolve any client issues that arise
  • Work with Quartex Product Specialist and Head of Platform to communicate platform enhancements or issues that arise
  • Ensure new contacts are added onto the CRM database
  • Update entries on the CRM system and work with Sales/Customer Support Assistants to ensure CRM information is accurate

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
