Lighting Auditor


The Lighting Project Site Auditor functions as the eyes of the company, traveling nationwide 90% of the time to each job-site to perform lighting and electrical surveys. The auditor will typically fly out Monday morning and return home Friday afternoon, documenting anywhere from 3-12 sites each week. The auditor is responsible for documenting existing conditions as it relates to lighting, lighting controls, and general electrical systems, however experience performing these tasks is not required. The auditor is given the autonomy to plan their own flights and hotel accommodations, most expenses are covered during the week, and all points and credit card perks are owned by the auditor. The auditor is held accountable for proper documentation, audit accuracy, overall quality, and adherence to their schedule and budgets.

  • Learn audit process and work with sales to outline and define audit scope requirements

  • Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing audit results using provided templates

  • Provide high level of communication between Customer and Sales and Project Management teams

  • Fly and drive to job sites

  • Scheduling and coordination of audit trips

  • Maintain accurate account of audit schedules/status in master Operations Team spreadsheets

  • Attend training programs as required

  • Assist in quotation, proposal and bid preparation

  • Valid driver?s license required

  • Ability to complete off-shift work

  • Ability to perform some manual labor, including but not limited to, carrying and climbing ladders, lifting up to 30lbs, and regularly bend, stoop, lift and twist.

  • Utilize personal credit of up to $6,000 for expenses to be reimbursed

  • Knowledge of electrical products preferred, but not required

  • Knowledge of lighting controls preferred, but not required


  • 0-3 years of Industry experience

  • Bachelor Degree preferred

  • Electrical Engineering degree or Lighting/Electrical Industry experience a plus, but not required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
