Directs the global payroll function for the entire organization. Responsibilities include accurate payroll processing for our domestic, multi-state operations in the US as well as overseeing the 3rd party managed services relationship for the global payroll processing. The Global Payroll manager will also assist in month/quarter-end close and year-end close. Within the established corporate policies and procedures, this position is a working supervisory role that manages a team of payroll specialists. Provides resolution on payroll questions to employees, researches outstanding payroll tax issues, and works with third party payroll processor to resolve issues. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Execute the entire bi-weekly multi-state/multi-country payroll cycle for exempt/non-exempt; salaried/hourly employees by processing all compensation, including salaries, bonuses, commissions, and equity. Oversees the payroll impacted processes for new hires, employee movements, terminations, status changes, LOA's, tax changes, deductions, direct deposits, rate changes, retroactive adjustments, and special pays. Manage the processes all deductions, including garnishments, flexible spending plans, retirement plans, and benefits contributions, as well as election changes for ESPP participation. Train and supervise the payroll team for payroll duties; ensure appropriate segregation of duties between data entry, review, and posting. Ensure that all non-exempt employee timesheets are approved by supervisors in a timely fashion, and that timesheet data is processed accurately, including calculation of shift differentials and overtime pay. Participate in the implementation of a new payroll/HR system, if appropriate. Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient customer service to employees who have questions regarding their pay, deductions, or the payroll process. Monitor complete accuracy of payrolls, while ensuring that payroll team and 3rd party vendors adheres to published schedules, work tasks, policies and procedures. Assist with bi-monthly payroll entries in the General Ledger, as well as monthly accrual entries including wages, commissions, bonuses, and vacations. Provide accounting support for departmental representatives for Stock Option and ESPP activity, benefits activity, and 401k activity. Develop annual payroll calendar, including transmission and pay dates, and make available to employees and on Company's internal intranet. Ensure that ESPP, ISO and NQ stock option activity is appropriately reflected in W-2 treatment. Assist with quarter-end close activities, including preparation of any auditor-required PBC items, schedules, and explanations. Generate various payroll related reports, such as 401(k), vacation, FSA, and Dept of Labor Statistics reports; develop ad hoc reports as needed. Responsible for all year end processing (W2-W2C) activity or other global year end processing requirements. Routinely analyze current processes to identify cost savings and increase efficiencies. Effectively communicate with team members, managers, business partners, vendors, and field staff to research issues and obtain problem resolution. Comply with all company policies and departmental procedures, ensuring honest and ethical conduct at all times. Implement company growth plans as they relate to payroll; add new payroll tax jurisdictions for various growing business needs. Keep abreast of policies and procedures, current developments in payroll accounting and auditing and local, state and federal laws as applicable and industry trends. Assist in Sarbanes Oxley compliance to ensure that all critical controls are met. Assist in the implementation and design of controls as well as ensuring separation of duties between HR and Finance, and within Finance Work with IT and Human Resources departments to ensure integrity of data and system setup. Identify and escalate process changes where needed. Performs other duties as assigned. SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Experience working in a publicly-traded company or equivalent experience with quarterly auditor reviews, equity grants (both stock options and ESPP), and SOX, preferred. 5
years' supervisory experience in the payroll arena - ability to supervise a team of payroll specialists in different locations worldwide. Technical Skills Strong working knowledge of ADP Workforce, EZ Labor Manager, and ADP Reporting Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel. Must be proficient in other standard workplace applications, including Microsoft Word and Outlook Experience with financial accounting software that is integrated with ADP; Softrax experience a plus Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal; excellent customer service and problem solving skills Knowledge of US GAAP and payroll accounting principles Comprehensive knowledge of Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and related federal and state labor regulations, including payroll tax regulations Interpersonal Skills Extremely detail oriented, with high level of ethics and integrity Ability to thrive in a fast-growing environment where change is the norm; requires strong multi-tasking skills, and the flexibility to switch from one project to the next quickly Ability to excel with time constraints and rapid turnaround situations Ability to understand employee payroll issues, and to communication solutions effectively, professionally, and respectfully Ability to prioritize work and focus on meeting team deadlines in a dynamic environment WORK ENVIRONMENT:
